Tony Dee Bokito Bokoma
Tony Dee Bokito Bokoma was born on 17 February 1944 in Kinshasa, Congo Belgium. Born to Mr. Antoine Ekoto who was an officer of the Congolese national army and Madame Emilie Banken. He completed his primary education in the Catholic school at St. Georges Kintambo.
At a Very young age, he composed songs for a military Jazz band at (Camp kokolo). In 1963 he arrived in Belgium to continue his university studies in Commercial and Consular fields. He was introduced in Brussels to Bikoko Francis Kabuiku Philipe, Galo Michael, Anthony and Diambo Matingou Boniface of the orchestra African Negro.
In 1964, together with his friends Nzeza brothers (Justin and Félicien), Kalala fanfan, Bernard Kandolo, Azimba Camille and René Kassanda (Kare) Los Nickelos Created a college band Yeye International in conjunction with Max Mongali autres.In February 1965, at MAIS'AF Liège (Maison Africaine de Liège), they officially released songs such as Princessia Nono, Muasi na yo, ya Etumbu bolingo as well as interpretations of songs from Orchestra African Jazz. He briefly left Belgium.
In 1967, he returned to Brussels and joined YEYE NATIONAL. He recorded several songs with this group. In Brussels, he joined the African Negro orchestra with which he worked to revive his songs (Princessia Nono, Muasi na yo, ya Etumbu bolingo Dis venice, yo na sango Nayok MH, Maloba mibale, Oyem African Negro). All this alongside Macoley Agibu, Antoine Diambo, Bikoko Francois Philipe Kabuiku, Bongo Philemon (big brother Bongo Wende), Matingou Boniface and Me Ndavu.
